bootcamp and Windows 10 Anniversary update

On Sept. 13th Windows 10 started trying to update to Windows version 1607 (i.e., the Anniversary edition). Prior to that time it had been saying that my system was up-to-date. Does anyone know if Microsoft has patched the bug that prevents access to some partitions with this update?

Thanks -

No, they definitely have not, unless yesterday's update fixed it. There is a thread about it here:

Windows 10 Anniversary + Boot Camp = no longer mounting Mac partition

I have been using the "show or hide windows updates troubleshooter" to block the Anniversary updates:

Right click on Start menu "pearl" and select Run > type in "winver" without the quotes > click OK and if it shows OS Build 14393.187, then you have the Anniversary Update and all the patches up through and including http://support.windows.com/en-us/kb/3189866.

Hopefully you don't have to revert to Version 1511 🙂
